Seismic Code-Compliant Suspension System
From Armstrong Ceiling Systems

Armstrong Ceiling Systems introduces the Seismic Rx™ Suspension System, the only seismic code-compliant system that allows for the use of 7/8" molding and eliminates stabilizer bars in Category D, E and F installations. In Category C installations, the labor- and cost-saving system eliminates the installation hassles of free-floating ceiling conditions by allowing for positive attachment to the perimeter.

Use of the new Armstrong system helps contractors eliminate the risk of installing non-approved systems as well as the risk of construction schedule delays caused by the time-consuming approval of “alternative methods of construction.” It also reduces callbacks and provides direct access to the plenum at the perimeter.

The evidence of seismic code compliance contained in ICC-ES ESR-1308 pertains only to the Armstrong Seismic Rx Suspension System.
