Metabo Corporation unveils the SB18 LT hammer drill/driver from the lithium-ion PowerMasterSeries of 18 V cordless power tools.
At only 8 13/16" long and 5.3 lbs., the hammer drill/driver is more compact than other cordless models in its class. The cordless tool can fit into even more cramped spaces by removing the chuck to drive screws with the 1/4" hexagon recessed spindle using an accessory bit retainer. Unique to Metabo’s tools, the recessed hex spindle technology allows the hammer drill/driver to work in constricted areas that other cordless tools cannot. A built-in LED light supplies greater visibility for dark spaces.
Benefitting from Metabo’s unique air-cooled charging technology, the Li-Power Plus 18 V, 2.6 Ah battery charges 30% faster by utilizing guided air flow ducting that cools the battery pack to an optimum temperature level during charging.
