Academy 2008: Blueprint Reading—in Spanish, and Management Education

AWCI’s Academy 2008, Feb. 1–2 in Denver, again offers must-have educational opportunities for middle and lower levels of management in the construction industry.

Academy 2008 will feature two tracks, one managerial and one technical.

The management track is called Management Skills on the Job Site. This one and a half day seminar will provide foremen and superintendents with a blueprint for implementing the “nine critical factors” for improving managerial effectiveness and productivity on the job site.

The technical track of Academy 2008, Blueprint Reading, will be taught in Spanish. The basic-level course requires no prior experience in blueprint reading. It will give an overview of the process of developing the construction plan and explore the various roles played by design professionals.

AWCI’s Academy, a two-day, in-depth educational program, is designed for estimators, safety specialists, senior management, field superintendents, project managers, architects, specifiers and emerging construction executives—anyone else who is critical to the operation of your business.

Each exhibiting company’s profile will now be online, saving on paperwork for both the exhibitor and AWCI.

Once approved, the listing will be available online 24/7 for all to see. Company profiles will be online for up to two months after the show.

The 2008 Intex Expo will be in Las Vegas in the convention halls of the Paris hotel and Bally’s Las Vegas hotel. AWCI’s Annual Convention is March 23–27, with the expo March 26–27.
