Discovery of false information may cause disqualification or later revocation of certificate.

Those currently employed by a firm that is regularly engaged in independent inspections may apply to be an EIFS Inspector. Pre-qualifications can be met either by having experience as an independent inspector or by having sufficient experience with EIFS distribution, manufacturing or contracting. However, those currently employed by contractors, manufacturers or distributors are not eligible for the Inspector category, but may apply in the Industrial Professional category.

Cancellation Policy: Once the applicant is accepted into the program, the course fee is non-refundable.

I certify the information completed above is true and I have the ability to read blueprints; a high school diploma or GED (or higher); and physical ability to observe work in progress from the ground, on scaffolding and on a swing stage. By signing this agreement, I certify that I am the person to whom the certificate will be issued and I will complete the required course modules and assessments. I further certify that I will not receive any assistance with completing the course assessments. I agree to abide by the following code of conduct.

The Code of Conduct lists principles of conduct and standards to be observed by holders of the specialty EIFS Inspector certificate.

Holders of the inspectors’ certificate:

Shall use the knowledge gained from the AWCI EIFS—Doing It Right education program and employ current industry accepted application means and methods for EIFS applications.

Shall advise clients of the current industry-accepted application means and methods.

Shall accurately represent their professional qualifications and shall provide only those services they are qualified to perform.

Shall give accurate, unbiased responses when the service includes advice and shall act in a professional manner and correctly represent the extent of the education or authority associated with the certificate.

Shall avoid any involvement, activity or influence of professional activities, financial considerations or other that might conflict with the best interests of all parties. If a seeming, perceived or potential conflict arises, full disclosure shall be given and services shall proceed only if the conflict is waived in writing after disclosure.

Shall stay informed of new guidelines, standards, codes and procedures for the application of EIFS and shall notify AWCI of any occupation changes that would affect the type or validity of the certificate.

The certificate does not cover forensic or intrusive investigations. Failure to abide by the Code of Conduct may result in the revocation of the certificate or in a reprimand.
