AWCI Unveils New Logo, New Look

February 2005

The Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry and the Foundation of the Wall and Ceiling Industry introduce a more modern and updated logo for each group. And, in addition to a major overhaul of AWCI's Construction Dimensions magazine, which also made its debut this month, all the newsletters and other published materials are following the updated look.

"AWCI's new logo reflects the many aspects of wall and ceiling work done by our members," said AWCI Executive Vice President Steve Etkin. "The rigid right angles and squares of yesterday are gone. Today our members work with all kinds of shapes, including curves, arches and various radiuses."

AWCI President Bruce Miller had this to say: "Our members do more than interior ceiling and wall work-there is fireproofing, exterior finish systems, steel framing, insulation, trim and many other things. The new logo conveys the variety of work that AWCI members perform."

The new logo for the Foundation uses the same "swoosh" as the one used for AWCI. The only other difference is that the letters, "FWCI," are green instead of red.

From now on, the new logos will be used on all materials produced by the association and the Foundation.

Members who use the AWCI logo on their Web site, on company letterhead and/or business cards and in advertisements are encouraged to replace the old logo with the new one. Contact AWCI at batiste@awci.org to receive an electronic version. The logos are available in color, black and white, and in a reversed color format. Various electronic formats are also available.
