LEED® v4: Redefining Design, Transforming Contractors (2018) - pdf - 335a
for AWCI Members (100% off list cost)
The LEED® system is a single number rating system that acknowledges certain sustainable attributes ascribed to a specific building. It is a green building rating certification of the structure, not just a product. The U.S. Green Building Council is the author of LEED®, which is an acronym for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design."
The changes in version 4, or v4, that have the greatest impact on contractors include requirements for commissioning. This process provides the owner another layer of oversight in the structure’s design, construction and operation. The process starts before the design stage and continues well beyond the construction phase. This means contractors are answerable not only to the authority having jurisdiction over the project, but also a commissioning authority or agent must be present. The commissioning process may include testing on completed work to assure performance requirements are met. 21pp. Within 1-2, business days after placing your order a PDF file will be emailed to you.
