Steel—Doing It Right® Online Course

This online course consists of 13 modules and is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the construction methods and contractors' issues including structural, load-bearing wall assemblies; interior systems; roof and floor assemblies; estimating; quality control and much more. Seminar content is based on industry accepted standards and best practices.

Program Overview

The seminar is aimed at owners, project managers, estimators, superintendents and foremen as well as architects and code officials.

Cold-formed steel framing has often been used for nonstructural applications, such as interior partitions. But it can also be used as the main structural element—and that requires a whole new set of knowledge, which will be covered in this course. You’ll learn about best practices in the use of cold-formed steel in construction today, so that you can tap this growing market opportunity and increase your potential for business growth.

This is not a certification program; however, each seminar participant will receive a certificate of attendance. Attending engineers are eligible for 9 Professional Development hours, and 9 LU hours are available for AIA credit via the "Self-Report" option.
