From Hitachi Power ToolsHitachi Power Tools introduces the DH45MR, a 1 3/4" SDS Max Rotary Hammer featuring patented Internal Double Insulation technology and a best-in-class impact energy of 11.4 ft-lbs. The DH45MR offers the fastest drilling and chiseling speeds on the market and is engineered to conquer concrete, mortar, tile and other hard materials while including features that maximize user comfort and convenience.
Hitachi’s patented IDI technology enables the aluminum housing to be integrated with an injection molded inner nylon core. This technology combines the durability of a metal bodied tool with the double insulation advantages of today’s plastic housings. Because of this technology, the tool bearing sits in die cast aluminum instead of plastic.
Designed with a 11.6 amp motor that delivers 1,200 watts of input power, this new rotary hammer out-specs the competition. Using a highly efficient striking transmission, the DH45MR produces 30% faster drilling speeds and 15% greater chiseling performance than even the closest competitors. Electronic variable speed control gives the tool a full-load RPM from 120 to 240 and an impact rate of 1,200–2,500 BPM.
This multi-duty rotary hammer has an easy-to-use dial for two modes of operation: hammer-drilling and drilling only. The DH45MR has a needle pin slip clutch for high slip torque accuracy. Auto-stop carbon brushes prevent motor damage and prolong service life and the added stability of a metal housing also stops grease leakage caused by heat and stress.
Its solid and dependable chuck accepts SDS Max bits and the quick release function makes replacements easy. A 12-position variable lock mechanism allows for simple adjustment of chisels to the optimal working angle. An adjustable 360° side handle provides better control and can be removed when working in tight spaces for better maneuverability. The side handle is securely attached with a rigid steel bracket and includes a depth gauge for consistent drilling depths.
