ISA Economic Indicator Report Shows Mixed Results

The January ISA Economic Indicator Report from the Industrial Supply Association showed mixed results, with the Distributor Index rising while the Manufacturer Index declined.

    

The ISA Manufacturer Index decreased from 54.5 in November to 52.3 in December. Meanwhile, the Distributor Index increased from 54.2 to 60.2.

    

For each index, a reading above 50 percent indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 percent indicates contraction. The Indexes have been above 50 percent since December 2012.
