M. Shawn Puccio has been named vice president of finance by Saint-Gobain Corporation, Valley Forge, Pa., effective Feb. 1, 2005. She was previously the company’s vice president of Internal Control Services.
Plymouth Foam Incorporated, Plymouth, Wis., has reorganized its sales team into five dedicated product and sales channel divisions. The new structure will allow PFI sales personnel to focus on the primary area of their expertise and bring more consultative and administrative support to the customers of each division. The divisional structure replaces a more geographic territorial alignment. In related news, Tim Snider has been named DuraSpec Building Products – Wholesale Division sales manager.
Multiquip will supply light- and medium-sized construction equipment to building professionals throughout the Middle East and in select Eastern European countries. Multiquip products are now available from Turkey, Syria and Saudi Arabia in the east to Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Afghanistan in the west. European distribution includes such nations as Georgia, Armenia and Tajikistan. The Carson, Calif.–headquartered manufacturer’s strategic partner in India, Multiquip Construction Equipment Pvt. Ltd. , will supply most of the Multiquip products. Multiquip Construction Equipment Pvt. Ltd., under the operation of Narinder Jit Singh, and Multiquip Inc. plan to establish a local distribution center in addition to the existing Mumbai, India-based operation.
Leica Geosystems has appointed GeoShack (formerly Blue Beam) as a distributor in Ohio and Michigan. In Ohio, GeoShack will represent Leica Geosystems in construction lasers, surveying, engineering and construction machine automation systems. In Michigan, GeoShack will distribute Leica construction lasers and machine automation systems. Headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, GeoShack was formed in 2003 by the merger of Blue Beam, Spectra Laser & Precision Instruments, Laserline Ontario and Construction & Survey Instruments. The Gypsum Association has updated and redesigned its existing Web site, www.gypsum.org. The redesigned site features automatic drop-down boxes in a variety of categories that enable visitors to quickly scan all available page titles. Two of G-P Gypsum’s products were featured on ABC television’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, on Jan. 23, 2005.
