Tnemec Company, Inc. , Kansas City, Mo., has promoted Pete Cerra to vice president of Operations. In his new position, Cerra will oversee all company manufacturing and color operations, distribution and purchasing.



Steven Messmer has been named vice president-Tax by Saint-Gobain Corporation, Valley Forge, Pa. He was previously the company’s Vice President-Controller.



Powers Fasteners, Inc. , New Rochelle, N.Y., has promoted Jack Stewart to Los Angeles branch manager and James Suggs to San Francisco branch manager. Powers Fasteners, Inc.,also has expanded its sales capabilities with the appointment of Barry Rosenberg to the new position of director of OEM Sales.



PanaSteel L.L.C. , headquartered in Savannah, Ga., reached its first birthday and celebrated the occasion at the Southern Home Show at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center by claiming second place in the show’s best booth competition.

PanaSteel was founded in 2003 by CEO Edwin Berrios and COO Lee Vanatta and began operations in 2004. The company is combines technology, smart business principles and comprehensive customer support to make steel a mainstream residential building material. The company a recently opened retail center in Augusta and has ongoing projects in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and the Midwest.

This year, PanaSteelexpects to expand throughout the United States and internationally, opening retail centers in South Carolina and North Carolina while pursuing projects in Louisiana, Alabama and the Caribbean. PanaSteel will especially target coastal areas vulnerable to high winds from hurricanes and regions infested by the rapidly spreading Formosan “super termite.”



Jay Kranker has been promoted to western region industrial sales manager for Moisture Control Services, a division of Munters Corporation. Kranker will be responsible for the sales and marketing efforts of the industrial sales force for dehumidification rental services and air/temperature control equipment in the Western United States, Guam and Western Canada.



Brent Schilling has been named territory sales manager for the Midwest area, for Marlite. In this position, Schilling will be responsible for managing sales for commercial and decorative wall products.



Ken Fitzpatrick has joined Hacker Industries, Inc. , Newport Beach, Calif., as sales and architectural coordinator, where he will support the director of Business Development with architectural presentations, businesses development and lead generation.


Flex-Ability Concepts, Edmond, Okla., has named Robert Widmer as marketing manager. Widmer will be responsible for all domestic and international marketing activities.



CertainTeed Corporation, Valley Forge, Pa., has signed on as a team sponsor with the Haas CNC Racing #0 NetZero/Best Buy race team and NASCAR driver Mike Bliss. As part of the sponsorship, CertainTeed’s corporate logo will be displayed on the “C” Post of the car, a Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The logo will also be positioned on the left arm of Bliss’ uniform and all Haas CNC Racing uniforms, merchandise, pit row equipment and the car hauler.



Ames Taping Tool Systems, Inc., has opened new stores in Tolleson, Ariz., and North Las Vegas, Nev. Tolleson is Ames’ fourth store in Arizona, joining existing locations in Phoenix, Mesa and Tuscon. North Las Vegas is Ames’ third store in Nevada, joining existing locations in Las Vegas and Reno.
