Carlos Nieves has joined Saint-Gobain Corporation, Valley Forge, Pa., as general auditor, to head the company’s Internal Control Services Department. Saint-Gobain’s Internal Control Services Department is responsible for reviewing and assessing the financial and accounting processes, systems, procedures and practices to determine the adequacy of controls and to make recommendations for improvement.
Nieves is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors as well as the American Production and Inventory Control Society. Nieves is a resident of Mickleton, N.J.
Sonny Scaffolds Names Sales, Marketing VP
Sonny Scaffolds, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, has announced the promotion of James I. Brown Jr., to vice president of Sales & Marketing.
Brown joined the firm in February as manager of Sonny’s Florida Regional Office in Venice, Fla.
Prior to joining Sonny Scaffolds, Brown served in a variety of positions at Ryerson Tull, the largest steel service center in the United States. Included among his posts were general manager of operations at Ryerson’s Cincinnati plant; inside, outside and district sales manager at its Indianapolis office, and service manager and general foreman at its Indianapolis facility.
