The Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry’s Excellence in Construction Safety Awards give national recognition to member companies that manage an effective safety program in a given year. The Chair’s Safety Performance Award is an award commissioned in 2021 by the AWCI Safety Directors Committee to recognize member companies that, following the judges’ evaluation and consultation, are determined to have achieved an exceptional, sustained safety culture and performance over multiple years. Companies that receive this special award have demonstrated a continuous, long-term commitment to evaluating and strengthening their corporate safety and health programs, embracing the evolution of construction safety best practices. In 2022, OCP Contractors, Inc., Holland, Ohio, was recognized with the Chair’s Safety Performance Award.
