Larson Electronics LLC announces the release of a mobile temporary power distribution system. Constructed with high-grade materials, this power distribution system powers 3-phase 480V equipment on single phase 120/240V AC from generators and direct grid power, ideal for use in indoor and outdoor worksites.
The MPD-480-50KVA-24X120.20A-20C mobile temporary power distribution substation allows operators to power their 480V equipment on single phase 120/240V AC power source for a safer, more reliable connection. 480V line-in power connects to the primary side to a 125-amp 480V 3-phase primary disconnect, which contains 3 time-delay fuses protecting the 50 KVA transformer. The 480V current is then converted to 120/240V AC and passes through the secondary panel, which contains 24 20-amp 120V breakers that protect 24 panel mounted 120V 20-amp 5-20R duplex receptacles equipped with weatherproof covers.
This system is designed for serious use in heavy-duty industrial applications and demanding conditions. The assembly is grounded onto a thick carbon steel platform with a carbon steel tube frame that protects the transformer from damage. Forklift skid pockets, locking polyurethane casters and an eyelet on the top of the frame makes this power distribution center easy to lift with cable or chain hooks. The frame can be replaced with additional materials upon request. This system is certified to UL 1640, and all equipment is NEMA 3R rated for indoor and outdoor usage protecting against dirt, water and ice.
