DeWalt announces its first stud finders, offering automatic calibration for accurate stud detection in wood, metal and AC wiring. The 3/4 In. Stud Finder (DWO100) provides depth detection of up to 3/4" while the 1 1/2 In. Stud Finder (DWO150) provides depth detection of up to 1 1/2".
Key to these new stud finders for DeWalt is the one-step Center Find Technology. While many traditional stud finders locate the edge of the stud, DeWalt Stud Finders locate the center for a more efficient read, even when held at a sub-optimal angle. DeWalt Stud Finders also automatically calibrate, a method in which the device constantly checks its own calibration. Constant calibration eliminates the need for the user to have to go through calibration setup before the device can function properly, eliminating a step in the use of the stud finder.
DeWalt stud finders each feature a center marking channel to easily mark the stud location, directional LED arrows for visual guidance, and beep notifications when a stud is detected. Two AA batteries are included.
