After operating for nearly 70 years out of a historic elementary school, the city of Boerne, Texas, has a new City Hall to call home. Inspired by the region’s heavy Germanic architectural influences, the $22 million, 45,300-square-foot City Hall was designed to serve as a resilient part of the city’s cultural identity for centuries.

To help ensure the new City Hall will stand the test of time, the architect consulted closely with general contractor Lee Lewis Construction, and installer Millard Drywall & Acoustical Construction, to specify a number of ClarkDietrich products for the building’s interior and exterior framing. In total, the team installed roughly 250,000 pounds of ClarkDietrich cold-formed steel on the project, including the ProSTUD® Drywall Framing System, MaxTrak® Slotted Deflection Track, and Danback® Flexible Wood Backing System. The team also leveraged ClarkDietrich’s Clip ExpressSM Service for fast and economical steel framing connection solutions.

Check out the video to hear the project team describe how the steel framing products helped keep the build on schedule and on budget.
