Building from the Ground Up, Together

As AWCI’s president, I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this 2025 Annual Report and reflect on the progress we’ve made as an industry and as an association. This report represents the work of our members, volunteers, chapters, and staff—and the collective effort to keep AWCI a strong, relevant resource for the wall and ceiling industry.

My goals as president have been rooted in both tradition and progress. We must preserve the backbone programs that have long made AWCI a valuable resource, while continuing to strengthen and evolve them. Core programs like Peer Safety Reviews, the Emerging Leaders Program and the Doing It Right® educational series remain essential to supporting contractors and moving our industry forward with confidence.

At the same time, we have been intentional about creating space for new perspectives and ensuring we continue to grow in inclusive ways. Both on the jobsite and in leadership roles, our industry is stronger when everyone can contribute and succeed.

We also have focused on expanding AWCI’s reach. We’ve seen an increasing demand for specialty ceiling systems and innovative layouts, and AWCI is working to make sure our contractors are equipped to lead in this space. We’re expanding programming, offering more targeted technical support, so small and mid-size contractors get connected to resources they may not otherwise have access to. The relationships built through AWCI are invaluable, and we want to extend that reach even further.

Looking ahead, embracing technology will be essential, especially as AI begins reshaping how projects are estimated, planned and managed. AWCI is focused on helping members understand and apply these tools in ways that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.

Finally, we remain focused on the skilled labor pool. As I continue traveling to chapters across the country in 2026, I look forward to hearing firsthand the challenges members face in different regions, listening to a variety of perspectives. The more we understand one another’s realities, the better we can support solutions that strengthen the entire industry.

And while we focus on the trade, we must not forget the people in it. We have worked to raise the profile of AWCI CARES (Caring Action Relief in Emergency Situations), a vital program that provides meaningful financial support to members during times of crisis. Every member should know that help is available when it’s needed most.

As you explore this Annual Report, I encourage you to take pride in what we’ve accomplished together and to share these resources with your teams. Your engagement is what gives this association its strength.

Thank you for your membership, your involvement and your continued commitment to supporting the wall and ceiling industry.
