The Texas Lath & Plaster Contractors Association (TLPCA) held its annual convention where a major focus was workforce development. The Foundation made a $5,000 donation to support scholarships for students pursuing construction careers. This scholarship aims to get students directly from graduation into jobs in the trades.

The Foundation’s vision is to champion our industry’s efforts to grow and care for our community, and one of our goals is to make a positive impact in the cities that host AWCI’s annual events.

The Foundation made a $5,000 donation to Kentuckiana Builds, a critical workforce development program administered by the Louisville Urban League. This contribution will support the organization’s efforts to train and place individuals into high-demand construction careers.

In October 2025, AWCI CARES celebrated its 20th anniversary, a milestone highlighted in a recent issue of Construction Dimensions.

To streamline operations, the program transitioned its application and sponsor verification forms to an online format on our website. Supporting promotional materials, such as a commemorative poster and paycheck insert, also are now available for download on the website.

Since its inception, AWCI CARES has awarded a total of $488,302 in grants, with $43,325 distributed in 2025 alone.
