Taking place at the end of September in San Antonio, AWCI’s Industry Executives’ Conference & Committee Meetings brought leaders together to discuss industry issues and continue to add to their network of colleagues. Committee meetings and education sessions were all about business, but fun was sprinkled throughout thanks to a tour, golf tournament, fundraisers and receptions.
AWCI golfers hit the Quarry Golf Course during AWCI’s fall conference and showed off their best swings, putts and chips. On Sept. 28, attendees convened for the final night reception to say goodbye to friends and colleagues and take the opportunity to purchase one more raffle ticket. The 50-50 raffle generated $13,900 of which $6,950 will be used to further the programs of the Foundation of the Wall and Ceiling Industry.
Mark Nabity won $3,475, Don Brinkerhoff won $2,085, and Michael Syzdek won $1,390. Brinkerhoff donated a portion of his winnings to the Foundation.
Finally, the AWCI CARES Heads Up! fundraiser generated lots of laughter as AWCI members played the hilarious game developed by Ellen DeGeneres.
