Impact Wrenches

Makita U.S.A., Inc., manufacturer of high-quality professional tools and accessories, is excited introduce two new mid-torque 18V LXT® Brushless 4-speed 1/2" Sq. Drive Impact Wrenches. Both impact wrenches provide improved fastening control ideal for automotive and construction trades. With a compact size and less weight, these impact wrenches are the right size to handle most applications, including overhead tasks.

The new impact wrenches include the XWT17 – 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Mid-Torque 1/2" Sq. Drive Impact Wrench with Friction Ring Anvil and the XWT18 – 18V LXT® Brushless 4-Speed Mid-Torque 1/2" Sq. Drive Impact Wrench with Detent Anvil. Both are available in kit and tool-only versions. They are powered by a Makita-built brushless motor, which delivers 520 ft. lbs. of fastening torque and 740 ft. lbs. of nut-busting torque.

Three forward and 3 reverse auto-stop modes provide increased efficiency. The forward Auto-Stop modes allows the user to apply more torque while keeping within an expected range. The reverse Auto-Stop modes are engineered for more control when removing a fastener, which helps reduce lost fasteners when working overhead or in tight spaces.

The 4-speed power selection provides precise fastening control matching the speed to the application. The switch has settings ranging from 500 to 2,200 RPM. The additional Full Speed Mode reduces the trigger pull to reach full speed.

Makita’s Extreme Protection Technology (XPT™) is a protective seal inside the tool. It is designed to improve a tool’s operation in harsh conditions by channeling water and dust from key internal components.
