Level 5 Compound

Murco introduces a joint compound made to coat, float and trowel smooth walls and ceilings. Designed to finish walls to a Level 5 and called “Level 5 Hand Troweling Compound” by Murphy Wall Products, the compound’s ability to flow and smooth out can provide an extremely slick finish. It can be sanded if necessary, but it can also be used for trowel and drag texture.

It is nearly impossible to generate air pockets commonly associated with skim coating entire walls with conventional joint compound. When applied with a knife or trowel, applicator fatigue is reduced. The compound’s formula has less tendency to re-wet joints, reducing problems that sometimes occur when joints are covered.
