National Gypsum Company introduces PermaBase® WP Waterproof Cement Board™, which combines the strength and benefits of PermaBase with a proprietary waterproofing formulation.
PermaBase WP is intended for use in wet areas around tubs and showers in instances where liquid waterproofing has historically been applied over cement boards. Using this product and treating joints and fastener heads eliminates the need for additional waterproofing application.
The product, which boasts a true 1/2"thickness, features of PermaBase WP include a waterproof core, moisture and mold resistance, and an EdgeTech® reinforced edge. The lightweight product is easier to cut and faster to install, and the smoother surface means a stronger bond.
