Exterior Framing

Composition:  Non-combustible, cold-formed steel galvanized (G60) or equivalent coating to resist corrosion.

Size:  2-1/2” web x 33 mils thickness to 16” web x 118 mils thickness

Application:  Exterior Walls

Compliance:  AISI S100 North American Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Steel Structural Members,  Bare steel comply with ASTM A1003 Specification for Steel Sheet, Carbon Metallic- and Nonmetallic-Coated for Cold-Formed Framing Members, Corrosion resistant coatings per ASTM A653 Specification for Steel Sheet, Zinc Coated (Galvanized) or Zinc-Iron Alloy-Coated (Galvannealed) by the Hot Dip Process.

Limitations:

Cold-formed steel framing must be laterally braced.

Structural framing must be vertically aligned.

Studs cannot be spliced.

Max. stud spacing is 24 inches on center.

Installation:  Per ASTM C1007 Standard Specification for Installation of Load Bearing (Transverse and Axial) Steel Studs and Related Accessories.
