The Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry (AWCI) mourns the passing of Travis Winsor, AWCI past president (2023-2024), chief executive officer of The Raymond Group and a dedicated leader within the wall and ceiling industry.
For nearly three decades, Travis was an integral part of The Raymond Group family, beginning his career in January 1997 as an estimator and project manager before rising to lead the company into its third generation of leadership as CEO. Under his vision and guidance, Raymond grew into one of the West Coast’s premier drywall, framing, and specialty-themed finish subcontractors.
Beyond his executive achievements at Raymond, Travis generously shared his time, expertise and leadership with AWCI—serving on the Board of Directors for several years and as AWCI president from 2023 to 2024—guiding the association forward and leaving an indelible mark on our community of contractors, manufacturers and suppliers.
In honor of his enduring impact and memory, the Foundation of the Wall and Ceiling Industry has donated in Travis’s name to University of California, Irvine (UCI) Health in support of Dr. Daniela Bota’s research in the brain tumor program per the Winsor family’s wishes. Travis’s legacy is defined not only by his professional accomplishments and industry stewardship, but by the people he cared for, the relationships he built and the profound, lasting impact he had as a husband, father, friend, mentor and leader.
