Marshalltown, a privately held manufacturer of construction tools and equipment, has acquired Wallboard Tool Co., a manufacturer of professional drywall tools and accessories. Based in Long Beach, Calif., Wallboard Tool Co. was owned by the Masterson family and has been in business since 1946. Both companies share a similar customer base and have a long tradition of innovation, growth and customer satisfaction.
Marshalltown will integrate the Wallboard Tool products into its existing catalog. Manufacturing and distribution operations will be moved to Marshalltown, Iowa, and Fayetteville, Ark.
