Ceilings

Armstrong World Industries has enhanced its Templok® Energy Saving Ceilings solutions, like Calla® and Ultima® Templok, to boost sustainability and occupant comfort. These mineral fiber panels now feature a PVC- and Red List chemical-free metalized film backer and are part of the Armstrong® Sustain® portfolio, meeting stringent environmental standards.

Key to Templok’s performance is its innovative Phase Change Material (PCM) technology, which provides passive heating and cooling. This integration can reduce energy costs and consumption by up to 15% and offer up to 50 BTUs/SF of passive cooling. Projects using Templok may also qualify for significant federal tax credits.

The panels now offer a new 24″ x 48″ size for easy installation and retrofitting. They boast a Class A 25/50 fire rating and enhance Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) with superior sound performance. Templok is also integrated into IES Virtual Environment (IESVE) software for simplified energy modeling, supporting compliance with standards like WELL Building and LEED® v5.
