Last week, AWCI’s Emerging Leaders program took over Buffalo, New York, for an unforgettable experience filled with learning, connection and great conversation.
We started things off with a welcome dinner, giving everyone a chance to get to know one another before diving into the packed agenda. The next day, we were generously hosted by the National Gypsum Company (NGC). Amy Hockett and Matt Gallagher gave a fantastic presentation, followed by an insightful tour of the NGC Testing Services lab.
But the learning didn’t stop there. Our leaders got a first-hand look at a massive project with a construction tour of the new Buffalo Bills Stadium. After all that hardhat action, it was time for some fun. We caught a doubleheader with the Buffalo Bisons and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, soaking in some baseball and good times.
To wrap up the program, Sara Macy guided the group through their DiSC profiles, providing valuable insights into communication styles and collaboration.
