Former AWCI member and AWCI Pinnacle award winner (2004) Leonard D. Liddle Sr., 94, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication and quiet strength. He is the father of Dee Taylor and father-in-law to Mike Taylor of the AWCI Board.
As a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Leonard cherished his family above all else. He shared 65 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Barbara, and was deeply proud of his children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
A proud Marine Corps veteran, Leonard served in the Korean War, participating in the intense Battle of the Chosin Reservoir, where his company faced overwhelming odds. His courage and resilience during this harrowing experience shaped his life and character.
After his military service, Leonard found purpose in running Liddle Brothers Contractors Inc. and farming, valuing hard work and the beauty of nature. He enjoyed life’s simple moments, whether working the land or sharing a quiet meal at IHOP. Leonard will be remembered for his steady presence, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to his family and faith.
