Pinnacle Award

Nominees must be AWCI members who consistently and actively volunteer their time, energy and leadership to:

• AWCI and its Foundation
• The wall and ceiling industry
• Their local business community

They must also demonstrate a long-standing record of running a successful business.

Nominees provide ongoing support and volunteer efforts with AWCI and the Foundation. This may include activities such as:

• Attending or encouraging staff to attend AWCI meetings, webinars and educational programs
• Serving on AWCI or Foundation committees, boards or executive committees
• Participating in fundraising events, donating or purchasing auction/raffle items
• Speaking at AWCI events or contributing to new programs and initiatives
• Submitting or encouraging award nominations (quality, safety, innovation)
• Recruiting members, completing surveys or contributing to publications
• Engaging with AWCI through social media, sponsorships, exhibits or special projects

For manufacturer/supplier nominees:

Include support such as committee service, speaking roles, securing sponsorships or advertising, and promoting award nominations.

Nominees consistently contribute time, energy and leadership to advance the industry. This may include:

• Serving on committees or attending meetings for industry associations (e.g., ASTM, EIMA, SFIA, ASA)
• Engaging in legislative or regulatory advocacy at the local or national level 
• Participating in industry programs and initiatives (e.g., Safety Week, Helmets to Hardhats, OSHA Stand-Down)
• Demonstrating excellence in safety, innovation, and job performance
• Leading adoption of emerging technologies (e.g., BIM, AI, robotics)

Applicable to contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers alike.

Nominees consistently give back to their local business community. This may include:

• Attending or serving on AWCI chapter committees or meetings (if applicable)
• Running a successful, long-standing business that contributes to the local economy and provides jobs
• Participating in local business organizations (e.g., Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Kiwanis)
• Supporting workforce development and industry awareness through community involvement (e.g., sponsoring youth teams, attending job fairs)
