AWCI Hosts Virtual Conference

Nearly 150 people attended AWCI’s Virtual Industry Leaders Conference in mid-September, the first all-virtual conference the association has ever hosted.

The three-day conference boasted 10 education sessions that covered topics such as prefabrication, diversity and communicating and surviving in a crisis. Attendees were able to view a video showing the ceremonial passing of the gavel from AWCI’s outgoing president to the incoming president, and AWCI’s CEO gave a “State of the Association” address. Attendees also had the opportunity to win prizes playing in a virtual bingo game, and they raised money for the Foundation of the Wall and Ceiling Industry and AWCI CARES by participating in virtual games of Family Feud and horseracing.

Special thanks to CEMCO, ClarkDietrich, Flex-Ability Concepts, Hilti, Labor Chart, National Gypsum and USG for their sponsorship of AWCI’s Virtual Industry Leaders Conference.
