AWCI Offers Members Assistance with OSHA’s Respirable Silica Rule

AWCI’s website now offers members a downloadable Word file of “AWCI’s Guideline Template for Respirable Crystalline Silica Control.” The purpose of the plan template is to minimize employee exposure to hazardous levels of respirable crystalline silica that could result through construction activities or nearby construction activities occurring on worksites.

The document covers OSHA’s requirements, exposure control methods, respiratory protection, housekeeping, hazard communication, recordkeeping, training and more. Highlighted sections help contractors easily see where personalized company information may be added to the plan.

This along with a host of OSHA-related documents can be found on the AWCI website, www.awci.org, in the members-only section. Forget your password? Contact Marie Batiste at batiste@awci.org.
