Gypsum Management and Supply, Inc., a North American distributor of wallboard, suspended ceiling systems and other specialty building products, announced Dec. 10 that it has expanded its presence in Southern California with the acquisition of Hathaway & Sons, now operating as Hathaway Building Materials, a distributor of drywall and other specialty building products.
Hathaway has served the Southern California residential and commercial construction market for over 71 years. The company carries a full line of drywall, steel framing, lath, and plaster along with an extensive line of real and simulated stone, block and mortar. In addition, the long-standing company provides on-time delivery and a contractor referral service.
Allen Hathaway will be continuing with the company as branch manager. Wendy Hathaway will also stay to lead administrative.
GMS also announced it has acquired Badgerland Supply (“Badgerland”) and its six locations in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Badgerland has served the Wisconsin and Northern Illinois markets for over 25 years through its diverse offering of high-quality wallboard and construction products. Badgerland has an established market presence with a strong customer base primarily in the remodeling, residential, commercial and institutional sectors.
