Hyde Acquired Roman Decorating Products

Roman Decorating Products, Inc., formerly Roman Adhesives, has been purchased by the Hyde Group from Prairie Capital, a Chicago-based private equity company.

The Roman acquisition, coupled with the earlier addition of A. Richard G.P., a Canadian supplier of paint and drywall tools, makes the privately held Hyde Group a $130-million company in annual sales.

Operating companies of the Hyde Group include Hyde Tools, Inc., Southbridge, Mass.; A. Richard G.P., Berthierville, QC; American Promotional Products, Charleston, S.C.; and Dexter-Russell, Inc. of Southbridge, Mass.

Roman will continue to operate as a separate company under the leadership of Gerald Russo, Roman’s president and CEO.
